Festival at Home Decor Ideas: Pom-Poms, Fans & Honeycomb Balls
As part of your festival at home boxes you have a multitude of decorations in various colours. These pom-poms, fans and honeycomb balls add a fun vibe however you use them!
Hanging Decorations
If you have a tree or other feature, you can hang your decorations up amongst the branches. They look really effective scattered randomly! If you don’t have features then you can use your bunting string and attach the decorations to that to create eye-catching movement to fill a space. Alternatively, hanging up against a garden fence or wall provides a splash of colour and brightens up the area.
Clusters
Clusters of the decor are a really easy way to make a feature in a boring space. Use different colours of sizes to make the area stand out. You can group items together- such as all the fans in one place- or mix them up! We used a small cluster of pom-poms on the VIP tent to add a dreamy touch. The mix-match of decor on railings really broke up the long garden and made it easy to define the spaces. You can always cluster decorations together on a table too which really adds a pop of colour! The honeycomb balls look really cool scattered on the ground.
Top Decor Tips
If the string is long enough, tie the decorations up, but try and keep them knot free so you can get them down and reuse easily. We found that some things are just easier to stick up with tape! If you have something such as a nail or the top of the bamboo then it’s easier to hang the decorations up.
The cardboard fans spring back a little which is why we include paper clips to keep them together. The pom-poms take a few minutes each to assemble so make sure you have plenty of time or lots of willing bodies! Don’t forget to share your snaps with us @funboxedshop.
